Opel Mokka, Audi A1 & Peugeot 308 shine in Belgium auto market while total sales declined 3 percent in October keeping the slow momentum. However the battlefield is full of new challengers and the Top Brands and Models performance shows amazing news.

In October 2014 according to data released by FEBIAC total new Passengers Cars sold have been 38.115, down 3.5% from the correspondent month last year. Year to date October sales have been 425.589 down 0.8% from year ago.

Light commercial vehicles experienced a slight decline of 1.8% between October 2014 (4.548 units) and October 2013. Cumulate figures (45.467 units) in the first ten months were down 2% from year ago.

Focus2move full year 2014 Car Market volume projection has been unchanged at 305.000 representing a 5.4% increase from 2013.

Volkswagen lost 1.5% but remained on top with 3.937 units in October(10.3% of share) and 42.013 year-to-date (9.8%) just ahead of Renault gaining one place albeit losing a sharp 20.8% with 3.140 sales this month and 38.460 cumulate figures.

Peugeot was third with 3.051 units (-17.5%) followed by a growing BMW with 2.935 (+9.1%), two steps ahead from the previous month, and Citroen with 2.488 cars (-13.9%)

Jeep posted a remarkable performance (28th with 112 units, +115.4%), together with Porsche (25th with 156 units, +36.8%) and Skoda (11th with 1.537 cars, +28.6%).

In the report on Car Groups, the October leader was Volkswagen with 22.5% of share, ahead of P.S.A. at 14.5% and Renault-Nissan at 14.5%.

As far as model ranking report, data available regard September when Volkswagen Golf improved volume year-on-year by a robust 25.4% at 1.711 units, followed by an astonishing Opel Corsa with 866 units, up 94.6% due to run out prices on the outgoing generation. Renault Scenic was third selling 816 cars.

Fast growing models were the Opel Mokka (21st with 451 cars, + 127.3%), Audi A1 (26th with 420 units, +115.2%) and Peugeot 308 (5th with 715 sales, +101.2%).
