Best selling Cars in USA, 2012-2014 statistics for all the top 100 models. The scene was dominated by American Trucks & Jap Cars with Ram Pick up advanced in the third step of the podium ahead the Toyota Altima.

In 2014 according to data released by GoodCarBadCar total new Light Passengers Vehicles sold have been 16.527.636, up 6.0% from year ago, the best performance since 2006 and the 5th yearly increase in a string.

We already reported on this but now we focus on the best-selling cars trend, reporting full year data for the last three years and regarding the Top 100 models in the 2014.

The leader since ever is the Ford F-Series that in the 2014 reached 735.851 sales, down 1.3% from 2013 and losing 0.3 points of share.

Second was again the Chevrolet Silverado with 529.745 units, up 10.3% keeping a fast track with over 100.000 sales more than in 2012.

Ram pick-up in third did further better, with over 140.000 sales gained in two years landing at 439.789 sales.

The fourth and first car passenger was the Japanese Toyota Camry with 428.606 units, up 4.9%. Last year it was on the podium.

Behind a group of Japanese cars, all produced in North America: the Honda Accord ( 5th with 388.374 sales, +5.9%), the Toyota Corolla (6th with  339.4984, +12.3%), the Nissan Altima (7th with 335.644, +4.7%), the Honda CR-V (8th with 335.019, +10.2%) and the Honda Civic (9th with 325.981, -3.0%).

The first American car was only 10th, the Ford Fusion with 306.860 units (+3.9%).

In the “raising stars” category, we found the Nissan Sentra (24th with 183.268 units, +41.9%), the Toyota 4Runner (66th with 76.906, +49.0%) and the Lexus IS (91st with 51.358 units, +46.7%).
