Cadillac Global performance in the first eight months of the 2017 has been outstanding again following the positive score reported in the period 2010-2016. Sales in Asia – mainly in China – and success of the XT5 model are crucial for the brand performance.

Following the fast performance reported in the period 2010-2016, during the first eight months of the 2017 Cadillac is keeping momentum improving global sales by 25.4% at 225.033 units.

At regional-wise, the Asian sales (including China, Korea and India) are driving the success reporting a year to date growing of 80.3% while North America is losing 3.8%.

Actually the best selling model is the XT5 with 87.957 sales (+166%) followed by the XTS with 36.930 (+8.4%) and the ATS-L with 34.819 (+81.9%).

In the period 2010-2016 Cadillac has scored a remarkable performance at global sales, growing from 185.000 sales in the 2010 to 308.000 million in the 2016, performing a Compound annual growth rate (C.A.G.R) of 11.0%, while the industry CAGR in the period was +4.6%.

In this period, Cadillac has gained 5 steps within the Global Car Brands Ranking landing in the 50th place.

Sales split at regional level confirmed in the 2016 the supremacy of the American region counting the 59.9% of total sales (it was 83.2% in the 2010) while the Asian sales represent the 39.4% (from 15.3%).

On top of all, in the 2016 there was USA with 55.1% of global sales share (from 79.0% in the 2010), ahead of China with 37.6% (from 12.8%), Canada with 3.9% (from 4.0%), Mexico with 0.6% and Russia with 0.4%.
