Europe Vehicles Market rose 1.4% in February.

Europe Vehicles Market rose 1.4% in February fueled by booming sales in Turkey, Portugal and Spain. East Europe still diving with Ukraine falling 79% and Russia 37%.

In February 2015, according to data released by all Car Manufacturers local Associations and by ACEA, the total Light Passengers Vehicle (cars + light commercial vehicles) sold in Europe (44 countries) have been 1.271.000 million, up 0.8% from the correspondent month last year.

Year to date February sales had been 2.578.000, up 1.4%.

While Western Europe and the Mediterranean countries are recovering fueled by growing economy, East Europe is still hit by the Ukraine crisis, with all market down, and Russia falling 37.9%.

This month we have listed the 44 European market by year on year increase (but clicking on the table, you can sort data by each single column).

The fastest country had been Turkey, definitively out of crisis, with a tremendous +58.0% increase in February and 32.9% year to date.

The second was Portugal growing 29.4% fallowed by Spain (+26.0%).

Others market with a great mood had been Czech Republic (+24.9%), Ireland (+23.3%) and United Kingdom (+22.4%).

Looking the ranking in the reverse side, the worse market was again the Ukraine with a fall of 79.3%. Russia was the third worse with -37.9% and Belarus the 4th with 24.0%. Others market in a negative mood were Austria (-23.3%), Latvia (-22.1%) and Estonia (-12.0%).

Data on the 44 European countries are sourced by focus2move.com Mobility Database, aggregating data from all National Carmaker Associations or Dealers Associations, including, for the European Community, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association.

Data combined the 28 countries of European Community plus the 3 E.F.T.A. (Norway, Iceland and Switzerland) plus East and South European countries like Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Moldova, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, and Albania. We also include little countries like Monaco and Liechtenstein, despite for these countries data are preliminary and subject to a late update.
