The Czech Republic market is one of the more positive in Europe, driven by a still healthy economy and by the development of automotive sector, thanks to the Skoda growing performance in the world car market.
The July year-on-year negative performance had not changed the market perspective. Focus2move.com forecast a negative August, but a positive year end, with final 2012 volume projected at 177.000 units, up 2.5%, from last year, the new all-time record.
Skoda dominates the domestic market and in July sold 3.357 units with a market share of 30.1%, down 0.5 points of share from June. Behind, Hyundai struggled as never before this year, posting only 913 sales with a market share of 8.2%, down 2.1 from June, the worst share of the year.
Third was Volkswagen, with 951 units sold and a share of 8.5%, up 0.8 points from previous month and 0.2 from first half.
In 4th position, Renault posted a phenomenal July performance with 901 sales and a record share of 8.1%, up 2.2 point from first half. The opposite for Ford, dropped at 661 sales and a share of 5.9%, down 1.9 points from the first half.
