Japan Domestic Vehicle Market fell 13 percent in February 2015, scoring the 11th year on year fall in a series. All Japanese makers were down, but Mazda, flat at the launch on new SUV CX-3.

In February 2015 according to data released by JADAJAMA and JAIA, the Japanese Associations of car manufacturers, new Light Passengers Vehicles sold have been 481.080, down a 13.3% from the correspondent month last year, posting the 11th year on year falling month.

Year to date February sales ha been 881.651, down 15.6% from 2014.

Toyota sold 129.717 units (-18.4%) with market share at 27.0%, followed by Honda with 71.651 sales (-23.8%) and Nissan with 64.720 (-20.5%).

Daihatsu was fourth with 63.161 sales (-13.1%) followed by Suzuki with 58.187 (-19.4%) and Mazda, the first player to not lose volume (24.806 sales, +0.0%) launching the new CX-3.

Volkswagen become leader of importers ranking in 10th place with 5.394 sales (-27.9%).

As far as the Car Groups performance and ranking the leader was Toyota with 41.8% of market share, ahead of Honda with 14.9% and Nissan-Renault with 13.6%.

As far as Best-selling models performance and ranking, the Toyota Aqua was on top with 22.788 sales (-4.9%) followed by the Honda N-Box with 20.223 (+10.3%) and Nissan Dayz with 18.825 units (-9.0%).
