Jeep Global Sales in 2017 dragged down by North America

Jeep Global Performance Jeep Global Performance

Jeep Global Performance in the 2017 is negative despite the strong increase reported in Latin America, Asia and others regions. The balance is hit by the double-digit lost reported in North America. The Grand Cherokee is the best-selling model.

Following the remarkable performance scored in the period 2010-2016, when it was the fastest growing brand in the World, during the first nine months of the 2017 Jeep has lost 2.7% of sales with 1.079.000 units.

At regional level, the lauch of the last generation of the Compass boosted sales in Latin America (+43%) and in Asia (including China, Japan, India and Korea) (+30.5%). But sales were almost positive in the CIS countries as well (+15.3%) and – despite the negative conditions – in the GCC (+18.4%). Unfortunately, the lost reported in North America (-12.7%) dragged down the global balance.

At model wise, the best model was the Grand Cherokee with 207.000 sales (+12.0%) followed by the Renegade with 187.000 (+2.6%) and the Cherokee with 187.000 (-23.6%).
