Mexico Vehicles Market roared 20% up in February. with the market leader, Nissan, strong at highest level ever and a group of others Japanese carmakers fast improving, led by Toyota, Honda and Mazda.

In February 2015 according to data released by A.M.I.A., the Association of Mexican Automotive Industry, the new Light Passengers Vehicles sold in Mexico have been 96.295, up 20.5% compared with the correspondent month last year.

Year to date February sales have been 199.992, up 21.8%

This was the second month is a si huge Y.o.Y. increase and the best February ever in the market, surprising all the more optimistic observers. Now the market is clearly projected to hit the all-time record sales with a robust gap on the current record.

Nissan kept the roaring momentum with 25.286 sales, up 24.9%, with a market share stable at the best ever level of 26.3%.

In second, Chevrolet sold 17.737 vehicles (+17.6%) with share at 18.4%, up 0.5 points of share, followed in third by Volkswagen with 13.976 sales (+11.6%).

The follower have a slower pace with Ford 4th with +7.9% and Chrysler 5th with +7.0%.

Outstanding was the year on year performance scored by Toyota (6th with 5.722 sales, +26.6%), Honda (7th with5.428 units, +46.6%) and Mazda (8th with 4.071 units, +51.8%).

As far as the car group’s performance, the leader was Renault-Nissan alliance with 27.9% of market share, ahead of General Motors with 18.1% and Volkswagen Group with 17.2%.

As far as best-selling models ranking, the number 1 was again the Chevrolet Aveo with 5.409 units (+17.4%) ahead of Nissan Tsuru with 4.986 (+28.0%) and Nissan Versa with 4.812 (+28.0%).
