Morocco outlook shows a sustainable growth at 300.000 sales in 2022

Morocco Automotive Renault-Zoe-2017

Morocco Automotive industry is one of the fast growing in Africa becoming the third largest in the 2016. Therefore our researches demonstrate why the production  expansion and local demand will hit sales at 300.000

Built in the 2012, North Casablanca, the Renault Moroccan plan is actually the biggest in the entire Africa having produced over 200.000 cars in the 2016 (out of a capacity of 340.000), near 80% exported in Europe. Vehicles produced are Logan, Sandero, Kangoo, Lodgy and Dokker with the co-operation of over 150 international suppliers, landed in the zone, to provide near 50% of vehicles components.

Following this recent but succesful investment (supported by the government with huge investments) a new plant is under construction, made by PSA for starting operations in early 2019, in Kenitra and the country is in line to become the new hub for the North Africa replacing Egypt.

The domestic demand, always a key factor in this road, is fast growing and with the 163.000 cars sold in the 2016 grew as World’s 50th market and third in Africa, after South Africa and Egypt and ahead of Algeria.

Our research explain why the sales will be near 300.000 in the 2022, with mix by brands and segments, while last years data by brand, models and segments are fully reported.
