New Zealand Auto Market boosted by favorable economic wind. In October the market peaked the 35th year on year growth with Mazda scoring a huge progress together with Mitsubishi and Isuzu. See here all statistics on Brands, Groups & Models.

In October 2014 according to data released by M.I.A., the Motor Industry Association of New Zealand, total new Light Passengers sold have been 12.023, up 12.4% compared with the correspondent month last year.

Year-to-date October sales in the Country have been 103.351, up 15.3% from the correspondent period last year and this was the 35th year on year growing month. Competitive pricing and a healthy economy were the factors for this market success. New Zealand is on track to exceed the highest ever annual total for new registrations done last 1984.

Focus2move full year 2014 Car Market volume projection has been unchanged at 123.000 representing a 10% increase from 2013.

Toyota reinforced the leadership with 3.102 sales in October and 19.808 year to date with share respectively at 25.8% and 18.8%, with sales volume up 16.5% compared with last year.

Second place was taken by Ford with October sales at 1,358, down 0.6% followed by Holden with 1.218 up 1.1% compared with October 2013.

Remarkable October performances have been scored by Mazda (4th with 725 sales, + 22.1%), Isuzu (10th with 255 units, +55.4%) and Mitsubishi (14th with 178 sales, +55.9%).

Looking at the report on Car Groups, the October leader was Volkswagen Group with 27.7% market share, ahead of Toyota with 11.4% and PSA with 8%.

As far as model ranking report, the Toyota Corolla was again on top with 1.257 sales (+30.5%) ahead of Ford Ranger with 627 units and Toyota Hilux with 514.

Among the fastest growing models there was the Mazda3 (4th with 466 units, +119.8%) with Toyota Highlander, Holden Cruze, Honda Jazz and Nissan Qashqai.
