Paraguay: Car Market Statistics. Best-selling 25 Brands and 10 Models.

Accordingly with data released by CADAM, the local Association of Car Manufacturers, the local light passenger vehicles market experienced a negative trend this year. However in October 2013 the market boomed 55.1% from last year with sales at 3.050 units recovering almost all the gap so far accumulated from 2012. Year to date sales were 21.637, down 6.9%.

Giving a look at the best brands performance:

Kia has further improved its dominion in the market with 764 sales and 25.0% of market share. Year to date sales were 3.984 with share at 18.4%, up 2.6 points from last year. Kia posted three models in the top ten, with Rio and Picanto respectively second and third and Sportage, leader among SUV in 8th place.

Hyundai sold 421 vehicles with a share of 13.8%, up 1.3 points from the third quarter. Year to date sales were 2.901 with 13.4% of share, down 0.3 points from last year. Hyundai held 3 models in the top 10, with Accent fourth, Eon fifth and Tucson in ninth.

Toyota was third selling 415 units with a share of 13.6%, down 1.4 points from Q3. Year to date sales were 2.824 with 13.1% of share, down 0.4 points from 2012. The Hilux was the market leader.

Volkswagen was fourth selling 239 vehicles with a share of 7.8%, up 0.3 points from the previous quarter. Year to date sales were 1.796 with share at 8.3%, up 0.7 points from last year. The Gol ranked 5th and Saveiro 10th.

Chevrolet was fifth selling 204 units with a share of 6.7%, down 2.2 points from third quarter. Year to date sales were 1.815 with a share of 8.4%, up 1.5 points from last year. The best-selling model was the S10 ranked 7th.
