Philippines Vehicle Market roars 42% in September, the best performance in an already amazing 2014, the best ever year for the this country. All brands outperformed except Nissan with Toyota jumps up in the sky.

In September 2014 according to data released by AVID and CAMPI (the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines)the new Light Passengers Vehicles sold in Philippines have been 23.495, up an impressive 42.5% compared with the correspondent month last year.

Year-to-date September sales in the Country have been 217.362, up 25.8% from the correspondent period last year.

Focus2move full year 2014 Car Market volume projection has estimated at 263.798 representing a 24.7% increase from 2013 and the best year ever.

All Top 10 Manufacturers improved volume over 25% except Nissan down 9.9%. Toyota was undisputed leader with 9.529 units in September (76.383 year-to-date) and share at 39.9% followed by Mitsubishi with 4.155 units (36.724 year-to-date) and Hyundai with 2.017 sales.

Ford was fourth with 2.010 units just ahead of Honda (1.361 units), Isuzu (1.213 units), Kia (712 units) and Suzuki (609 units). Chevrolet posted the best performance among top 10, up an impressive 92.2% year-on-year with 565 sales, while Nissan closed the top 10 down 9.9% with only 516 sales.

Peugeot (+270%), Citroen (+220%), Mercedes (+200%) and Dodge (+150%) were the fastest brands despite low volume of sales.

Looking at the report on Car Groups, the September leader was Toyota with 40.5% of market share, ahead of Mitsubishi with 17.4% and Hyundai-Kia with 11.4%.

As far as model ranking report, the Toyota Vios was in pole position with 2.475 sales (+118.3%) ahead of Toyota Innova with 1.443 units and Mitsubishi Montero with 1.334.

Among the fastest growing models there was the Toyota Yaris (33rd with 131 units, +1355%) with Suzuki Swift, Mazda3, Isuzu D-Max, Kia Picanto and Toyota Corolla Altis.
