Poland: H1 2013 Market was 1% down. Top Brands & Models ranking inside.

In June 2013 the cars sold in Poland have been 24.963, with a loss of 6.7% from June 2012. First half 2013 sales were 147.365, down 1.2%. Pushed by recent introduction of several new models, Renault improved it share on market above 5%, the best in a year. The controlled Dacia boosted its share as well.

Looking at Top Brands performance in the last month:

Skoda in 1st sold 3.025 vehicles with a share of 10.6%, down 0.3 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date June sales were 18.330 with a share of 11.0%. Skoda held 4 models in the top 25, with the Octavia as market leader.

Volkswagen in 2nd posted a positive month, selling 2.430 units with a share of 8.5%, up 0.6 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 13.715 with a share of 8.2%. Volkswagen held 4 models in the top 25, with the Golf in 3rd position.

Ford was 3rd (4th year-to-date) selling 1.783 units with a share of 6.2%, down 0.3 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 10.102 with a share of 6.1%. Ford held 3 models in the top 25, with the Focus in 6th.

Opel climbed to the 4th position (6th year-to-date) selling 1.714 units with a share of 6.0%, up 0.5 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 9.354 with a share of 5.6%. The top model was the Astra in 5th position.

Toyota fell to the 5th position (3rd year-to-date) selling 1.617 vehicles with a share of 5.6%, down 0.9 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 11.368 with a share of 6.8%. The best-selling model was the Yaris in 4th position.

Looking at the top models, Skoda Octavia was the market leader with 1.077 units with a share of 4.3%, up 0.3 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 5.548 with a share of 3.9%.

Skoda Fabia was 2nd with 903 units and a share of 3.6%, stable from the previous month, followed by Volkswagen Golf in 3rd with 840 sales and a share of 3.4%, down 0.2 points from May.

Toyota Yaris was 4th with 701 units and a share of 2.8%, down 0.7 points from the previous month, the same ranking of Opel Astra, in 4th, with 701 sales and a share of 2.8%, up 0.3 points from May, followed by Renault Clio in 5th, up 3 spots, with 650 sales and a share of 2.6%, down 0.1 points from the previous month.

Ford Focus was 6th with 636 units with a share of 2.5%, down 0.5 points from the previous month, followed by Hyundai i30 in 7th with 617 sales and a share of 2.5%, up 0.6 points from the previous month, and by Nissan Qashqai in 8th, up 4 spots, with 581 sales and a share of 2.3%, up 0.1 points from May.
