Russian Cars continue to become more expensive due to excise duties increase.

The Russian Ministry of Finance plans to raise rates of excise duties on cars and motorcycles by 26.5 % by 2017 compared to 2014 in accordance with the draft of main directions of the tax policy of the Russian Federation for 2015-2017. Actually the excise tax is 34 rubles for 1 HP for vehicles with capacity of 90-150 HP, in 2015 it is planned to increase to 37 rubles, in 2016 – to 41 rubles and in 2017 – to 43 rubles.
