Serbian car market slipped 4% in April 2013. Fiat market leader

In April, the Serbian car market posted 2.333 sales, down 4.4% from last year, the 15th year-on-year drop in a row. YTD sales were 6.848, down 15.6% from last year.

Looking at the top brands performance:

Fiat in 1st posted a breathtaking month, selling 530 units with a share of 22.7%, up 7.7 points of share from the previous month and 6.4 from the first quarter of 2013. Year-to-date April sales were 1.268 with a share of 18.5%.

Skoda was 2nd, posting a worse month than March, already a terrible one, selling 281 units with a share of 12.0%, down 2.8 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 980 with a share of 14.3%.

Volkswagen maintained its 3rd position, selling 170 units with a share of 7.3%, down 0.4 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 559 with a share of 8.2%.

Hyundai was 4th, selling 152 units with a share of 6.5%, down 0.1 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 446 with a share of 6.5%.

Renault climbed to the 5th position (7th year-to-date) selling 136 units with a share of 5.8%, up 0.7 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 349 with a share of 5.1%.

Dacia was 6th selling 132 vehicles, only 4 models less than Renault, with a share of 5.7/, up 0.4 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 353 with a share of 5.2%.

Opel was 7th selling 123 units with a share of 5.3%, up 0.3 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 380 with a share of 5.5%.

Suzuki jumped to the 8th position (11th year-to-date) selling 108 units with a share of 4.6%, up 2.0 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 202 with a share of 2.9%.
