Spain Light Vehicles Sales Summary was again really positive with the 18th consecutive growing performance, well above the 100.000 units and projecting the return at quota 1 million annual sales.

In March 2015 according to data released by ANIACAM, the Spanish Associations of Car Manufacturers, total new Car Passengers sold have been 112.792, up 41.1% from the correspondent month last year, posting the 18th consecutive growing month in a string.

First Quarter 2015 sales in Spain had been 267.627, up 32.4%, projecting the year near 1 million units.

In March Volkswagen was back on top of the market selling 9.319 units (+28.1%) ending the quarter taking the leadership with 23.725 units (+30.8%).

However, Seat kept the recovery and was second with 8.831 sales in March (+44.5%) and 23.339 in the quarter (+47.3%).

In March the surprise was represented by Ford, jumped in third place with 8.593 units (+39.9%) ahead of Opel with 8.392 units (+23.6%), Renault with 8.283 (++49.4%), Nissan with 8.271 (+82.4%) and Peugeot with 7.889 (+42.7%).

As far as the car group’s performance, the leader was obviously Volkswagen with 22.7% of market share, ahead of Renault-Nissan with 18.0% and P.S.A. with 13.5%.

As far as best-selling models ranking, the Seat Ibiza was the first with 3.932 units (+54.1%) ahead of Seat Leon with 3.546 (+40.3%) and Nissan Qashqai with 3.310 (+70.4%).
