Turkey: Car Market Statistics. Best-selling 25 Brands and Models ranking.

Accordingly with data released by ODD (Otomotiv Distribütörleri Derneği), in November total light passenger vehicles sold in the country were 79.301, up 10.6% from last year, with cumulated figures at 723.496, up 9.2% from last year.

In November 2013, passenger car sales went up by 22.6% in comparison to the same month of the year before and became 64,117. Light commercial vehicle sales went down by 21.8% in comparison to November 2012 and had a regression to the number of 15,184.

Looking at the best brands performance (Cars + LCV market):

Ford followed a series of positive month finally landing on top of the list with 10.473 sales and 13.2% of share, up 1.2 points from October and 0.3 points better than Volkswagen. Year-to-date Ford was third with 89.405 sales and 12.4% of share, down 1.3 points from last year. Fiesta jumped on top of model list, while the LCV Transit was 5th and Focus ranked 8th.

Volkswagen slipped in second place with 10.222 sales and12.9% of share, down 3.0 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 99.958 with a share of 13.8%, up 1.9 points from last year. The leader in the previous month –Jetta – slipped in 4th place.

Renault was third with 9.804 units with a share of 12.4%, up 0.4 from October. Year-to-date Renault was second with 91.725 sales and a share of 12.7%, up 1.2 points from 2012. Clio ranked second and Fluence 6th.

Fiat was fourth selling 7.893 vehicles with a share of 10.0%, down 0.6 points from October. Year-to-date sales were 83.520 with a share of 11.5%, down 1.7 points from last year. Best-selling model was Linea in third place.

Hyundai ranked fifth with 5.151 sales and 6.5% of share, flat from October. Year-to-date Hyundai was 6th with 42.932 sales and 5.9% of share, flat from last year. The bestselling model was the I20 ranked in 12th.

Opel advanced in sixth with 4.825 sales and 6.1% of share, up 0.7 points from the previous month. Year-to-date Opel was 5th with 45.808 sales and 6.3% of share, down 0.1 points from last year. The best model was the Astra ranked in 7th.

Peugeot was the Winner of the Month jumping in 7th from the 12th place, with 3.146 sales and 4.0% of share, up 1.2 points from October. Year to date it was 9th with 3.8% of share, flat from last year.

Dacia advanced in 8th, one 1 spot, with 2.890 sales and 3.6% of share, up 0.3 points from October. YTD it was 7th with 30.333 and 4.2% of share, up 0.5 points.

Ford Fiesta jumped in first place with 3.185 registrations and a share of 4.0%, up 1.0 points from the previous month. Year-to-date it was tenth with 18.746 sales and 2.6% of share.

Renault Clio ranked with 3.067 units and a share of 3.9%, up 0.4 points from October. Year to date it was fifth with 23.456 sales and 3.2% of share.

Fiat Linea ranked third with 3.019 units and a share of 3.8%, down 0.6 points from the previous month. Year to date it was leader with 33.278 units and a share of 4.6%.

Volkswagen Jetta, the former leader was 4th with 2.768 sales and a share of 3.5%, down 1.0 points from the previous month, followed by Ford Transit in 5th with 2.567 sales and a share of 3.2%, up 0.5 points from the previous month, and by Renault Fluence in 6th with 2.472 sales and a share of 3.1%.

Opel Astra was 7th, up 3 spots, with 2.334 sales and a share of 2.9%, up 0.2 points from the previous month, followed by Ford Focus and Renault Symbol in 8th and 9th with 2.333 and 2.312 sales.

Toyota Corolla slipped in 10th from 8th with 2.298 sales.
