Turkish Automotive market rose near 2% in November fueled by a great Fiat performance that is recovering after a dark year. Seat, Jeep and Volvo had been the fastest growing brands while Volkswagen led the Groups ranking.

In November 2014 according to data released by O.D.D., Otomotiv Distribütörleri Derneği, the total new Car Passengers sold in Turkey have been 80.621, up 1.7% compared with the correspondent period last year.

In November 2014, passenger car sales fell down 6.9% in comparison to the same month of the year before at 59.695, while light commercial vehicle market increased 37.8% to 20.926 units.

Year-to-date November sales in Turkey have been 620.702, down 14.2% from the correspondent period last year, the worst Y.o.Y. performance in Europe and the second worse in the Top 25 Global Automotive Markets.

Passenger car sales have lost 15.3% in January-November period to 477.277 units while light commercial vehicle market decreased 10.5%, in comparison to the year before at 143.415.

Four brands are dominating this market with a narrow gap among them. The leader, in November and in the year, was Volkswagen that rose sales 4.7% at 10.656 units.

In second, Renault marked a positive month with 10.141 sales (+3.9%) while Ford in third lost 3.0% at 10.122 sales. The fourth was Fiat with 9.801 sales with the best year on year score among the best brands (+24.2%).

The great performers of the months have been Seat (14th with 1.924 sales, +64.4%), Volvo (19th with 729 sales, +50.0%) and Jeep (21st with 354 units, +257.6%).

Among Groups, the leader was Volkswagen with 20.0% of market share, ahead of Renault Group with 19.7% and F.C.A. with 13.0%.
