UAE Vehicle Market kept momentum ending at best half ever with Toyota still dominating albeit arrival of new comers. The Chinese Chery started operation in last quarter while BMW kept the amazing trend booming sales from last year.

In June 2014 according to data released by focus2move Research Team through local sources and manufacturers, total new Light Passengers Vehicles sold have been 33.121, up 16.8% from year ago, posting the 35th year on year increase in s row, actually the best active winning string in the World.

In the first half of the year sales have been 200.484, up 13.6% from year ago, the best half a year ever scored in this market, projecting a new all-time record exceeding the 400.000 annual units. The arrival of many new players is improving the level of competitiveness. The last arrival is the Chinese Chery, which started operations in UAE during this quarter.

It must be highlighted as the customer price for new vehicles in UAE are actually the lowest in the region and there are rumors of grey export towards surrounding countries and East Africa.

Selling over 61.000 vehicles in the half Toyota dominates the market with a share above 30% despite new challengers arrived in the market. The Top Models ranking is showing seventh Toyota models in the best 11.

Thanks to the amazing success of last generation of Patrol, Nissan is the second Nissan with over 30.000 sales in the half, while Mitsubishi was third with 15.674 retails.

Following an amazing first quarter BMW kept the momentum ending the half in fifth place. In June BMW improved sales 146% from the correspondent month last year selling almost three times more than Mercedes. June was outstanding for Land Rover as well with sales boomed 114.8% from year ago, in third place among premium (Lexus was the second).

Great Wall was the best Chinese brand in the market, ranking in 17th place with over 1.300 sales in the half and 317 in June.
