UK Vehicle Sales Record in March the best volume since 1999 very near to half million units. While podium was stable, Nissan shoots up in 4th place and Mercedes, Land Rover, Mitsubishi and Jeep took off.

In March 2015 according to data released by S.M.M.T, total new Car Passengers sold have been 492.774, up 6.0% from the correspondent month last year, posting a record 37th year on year growing month.

With near half a million sales UK was the biggest market in Europe heavy influencing statistics.

The three leaders was substantially stable with Ford at +0.5% from March 2014, Vauxhall (Opel) -2.8% and Volkswagen +6.6% while Nissan shoots up taking three spots with +21.5%.

Others strong performers had been Mercedes (7th with 26.616 sales, +19.0%) leading the premium brands racing, Land Rover (13th with 15.508, +29.4%) fueled by Discovery Sport launch, Mini (18th with 10.962, +61.9%), Mitsubishi (23rd with 5.609 sales, +206.5%) and Jeep (27th with 2.190 sales, +396.6%).

As far as the Best Car Groups, the leader was Volkswagen with 18.3% market share, ahead of Ford with 12.9% and GM with 10.6%.

As far as best-selling models, the Ford Fiesta was again on top with 27.034 sales (+5.4%), followed by the Vauxhall (Opel) Corsa with 19.391 units (+19.5%) and by Ford Focus with 15.442 (-8.4%).
