UK Vehicles Market in November 2016 ford_fiesta_st200_2017

UK Vehicles Market in November gained ground slowly, pushing up the sales year to date in double digit. The Ford Fiesta always on top despite approaching run out.

Market Outlook

That pound has had a rollercoaster ride this past month. The currency surged at the beginning of November after the High Court decided that the government needs parliamentary approval to start negotiating with the European Union. The decision, if also upheld by the Supreme Court on 5 December, could delay Brexit or force the government towards a softer exit.

Meantime, the new cars sales in November kept the pace moderately, hitting the 5h y.o.y. growth in a row.

In fact, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (S.M.M.T.) in November the car passenger’s sold had been 183.829, up 2.8%.

Year to date November sales had been 2.747.530, up 12.0%.
