Ukraine: November ’12 Car Sales surged 19%. Volkswagen was up!

Confirming the recovery after the deep drop suffered in 2009-2010, the Ukraine car market in November 2012 posted 23.041 sales, up 19.1% and the year-to date sales grew at 238.111, up 27.4% from last year.

Hyundai was strong on top of the market selling 2.074 units with a share of 9.0%, up 0.7 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date November sales were 21.683 with a share of 9.2%.Hyundai held 5 models in the Top 50. The best-selling model is the Accent, 5th this month.

Lada was 2nd, selling 1.870 units with a share of 8.1%, up 0.6 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 20.896 with a share of 8.8%. Lada held 3 models in the Top 20, with the Samara 2nd in the monthly ranking.

Volkswagen was 3rd, posting a good month, with 1.857 sales and a share of 8.1%, up 1.5 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 17.390 with a share of 7.4%.The best-selling model was the Polo, 6th this month.

Renault was 4th (7th year-to-date) selling 1.766 units with a share of 7.7%, up 1.2 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 14.292 with a share of 6.0%. The Logan jumped to the first position.

Zaz got down to the 5th position (4th year-to-date), selling 1.672 vehicles with a share of 7.3%, down 0.3 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 17.064 with share of 7.2%. ZAZ Sens was 3rd this month, while the Lanos was 9th.

Kia was 6th (5th year-to-date) selling 1.419 units, only 8 more than Toyota, with a share of 6.2%, up 0.3 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 14.891 with a share of 6.3%. The best-selling model was the Rio in 7th, followed by the Sportage in 8th.

Toyota was 7th (6th year-to-date) with 1.411 sales and a share of 6.1%, up 0.6 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 14.299 with a share of 6.0%.The Camry was 11th this month.

Looking at the best-selling models, the Renault Logan jumped to the 1st position (7th last month and 5th year-to-date) selling 770 units with a share of 3.3%, up 1.4 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 5.219 with a share of 2.2%.

The Samara was 3rd (2nd last month and 4th year-to-date) with 679 units and a share of 2.9%, down 0.1 points from the previous month, followed by Zaz Sens in 3rd (2nd last month and 4th year-to-date) with 627 units and a share of 2.7%, stable from last month.

The Octavia was 4th (3rd last month and 1st year-to-date) with 576 units and 2.5% of share, followed by the Accent in 5th (4th last month and 3rd year-to-date) with 573 sales and 2.5% of share-

The Polo was 6th (8th last month and year-to-date) with 558 sales and 2.4% of share, up 0.7 points from the previous month, followed by the Rio in 7th (5th last month and 6th year-to-date) with 428 sales and 1.9% of share, down 0.2 points from October.

The Sportage climbed to the 8th position (16th last month and 13th year-to-date) with 342 sales and a share of 1.5%, up 0.3 points from the previous month.

Behind it was a good month for the Santa Fein 14th , up 16 spots from the previous month and for Nissan X-Trail in 19th, up 14 spots from October, while Geely CK collapsed, getting down to the 50th position(6th last month and 9th year-to-date).
