Ukraine: light passengers market fell 33% in June 2013. Top brands & models ranking inside!

June 2013 sales statistics confirm as all forecast were overconfident on this market, now again blocked by huge economic and political issues. June figures were for 14.887 light passenger vehicles sold, down 33.6% from last year with cumulated sales of 100.267, representing a deep loss of 18.7%.

Looking at top brands performance:

Zaz was the market leader but with a negative month, selling 1.521 units with a share of 10.2%, down 1.4 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date June sales were 7.586 with a share of 7.6%. Zaz held 4 models in the top 50, with the Sens as market leader.

Hyundai was 2nd (1st year-to-date) selling 1.318 units with a share of 8.9%, down 0.5 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 9.379 with a share of 9.4%. Hyundai held 4 models in the tip 50, with the Accent in 6th position.

Toyota was 3rd (6th year-to-date) selling 1.073 units with a share of 7.2%, down 0.8 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 6.704 with a share of 6.7%. Toyota held 4 models in the top 50, with the RAV4 in 15th position.

Renault climbed to the 4th position (8th year-to-date) selling 946 units with a share of 6.4%, up 1.4 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 5.122 with a share of 5.1%. The top model was the Logan in 4th position.

Kia was 5th (3rd year-to-date) selling 915 units with a share of 6.1%, up 0.4 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 6.995 with a share of 7.0%. The best-selling model was the Rio in 7th position.

Skoda was 6th (10th year-to-date) selling 903 vehicles with a share of 6.1%, stable from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 4.815 with a share of 4.8%. The Rapid was 2nd.

Volkswagen fell to the 7th position (4th year-to-date) selling 834 units with a share of 5.6%, down 1.1 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 6.955 with a share of 6.9%. The top model was the Polo in 8th position.

ZAZ Sens was the market leader with 732 units with a share of 4.9%, up 0.7 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 3.092 with a share of 3.1%.

Skoda Rapid was 2nd, up 5 spots, with 520 sales and a share of 3.5%, up 0.9 points from the previous month, followed by Zaz Lanos was in 3rd with 504 units and a share of 3.4%, up 0.4 points from the previous month.

Renault Logan was 4th, up 5 spots, with 492 units and a share of 3.3%, up 0.9 points from the previous month, followed by Zaz Vida was 5th with 437 sales and a share of 2.9%, down 0.2 points from the previous month, and by Hyundai Accent in 6th, down 4 spots, with 434 sales and a share of 2.9%, down 0.5 points from May.

Kia Rio was 7th, up 3 spots, with 332 sales and a share of 2.2%, stable from May, followed by Volkswagen Polo in 8th, down 5 spots, with 295 units and a share of 2.0%, down 0.9 points from the previous month.
