2014 Indonesian Car Market is the Top Asean Market, albeit slightly slow increase from the previous year. Indeed the huge collapse of Thailand’s market moved Indonesia on top of Asean markets after three year.
In March, accordingly with data released by Gaikindo, the Indonesian Association of Automotive Manufacturers, total light passengers sold have been 99.258, down 6.6% from year ago. The first quarter total sales have been 293.687, up 2.3% from year ago.
During the first quarter car sold in Thailand has been 221.727, losing 46% from year ago, while sales in the third Asean market, Malaysia, have been 158.933. So the Indonesian market leadership is sharp and will be kept for a while. Indonesia was the World’s 13th market in this quarter.
