In 2014 the Car Market in Estonia posted the 6th growth in a row confirming the recovery after the 2008 crisis. Toyota leads the ranking ahead of Skoda and Volkswagen. The best-selling model is the Skoda Octavia.

Car Market in Estonia posted in the 2014 the 6th growth in a row confirming the recovery after the 2008 crisis. Toyota leads the ranking ahead of Skoda and Volkswagen. The best-selling model is the Skoda Octavia.

In December 2014, according to data released by the Estonian Road Administration (E.R.A.), the total light passenger vehicles sold have been 985, up 7.0% from last year.

Full Year 2014 sales in Estonia have been 20.861, up 7.0% from 2013.

The market hit the sixth annual progress in a row and is now not far from the record level achieved in the 2007 at 30.000 units.

The market leader was Toyota with 110 sales in December (+31.0%) and a full year performance of 2.912 units (20.8%) with a market share of 13.8%.

The second is Skoda (3rd in December) with annual volume at 2.047 units (+16.4%) and share at 9.7%.

Third was Volkswagen with 1.797 units (+7.1%).

The 2014 Winner was Fiat (21st with 307 units, +98.4%) while the losers had been Hyundai (13th with 582 units, -27.9%), Honda (5th with 1.383 units, -11.0%) and Renault (4th with 1.385, -5.1%).

As far as the car group’s performance and ranking, the December leader was Renault-Nissan with 24.9% of market share, ahead of Volkswagen Group with 20.0% and Toyota with 11.5%.

As far as best-selling models ranking, the annual leader was  Skoda Octavia with 960 sales (+16.1%) ahead of Honda CR-V with 811 (-11.6%) and Nissan Qashqai with 679 (+21.0%).
