Norway best selling models 2016 ranking shows many new stars behind the usual leader, the Volkswagen Golf. EVs and Hybrids models dominate the scene with BMW i3 jumped in 8th.
According to data released by Opplysningsrådet for Veitrafikken AS, the Norwegian Road Federation, during the 2016 the best-selling car in Norway was the Volkswagen Golf, confirming the position acquired last year thanks to 13.149 units sold (-19.9%) almost the double than the first follower.
In second place was again the Mitsubishi Outlander, with 5.687 units (+43.8%) followed by the Toyota RAV4, up 4 spots with 4.955 (+32.0%), the Volkswagen Passat, up 5 spots,with 4.813 (+50.1%), and the Toyota Auris, down 3 spots with 4.419 (-9.6%).
In sixth place the Toyota Yaris with 4.247 (+0.8%) ahead of the Nissan Leaf up 3 spots with 4.162 units (+30.5%), the BMW i3, up 8 spots with 3.953 (+64.5%), the Skoda Octavia with 3.795 sales (-11.5%) and in 10th place the Volkswagen Tiguan, up 23 spots, with 3.233 (+123%).
