Denmark Best-Selling Cars Ranking in 2024 sees the Tesla Model Y as the market leader (-42.8%), followed by the Volkswagen ID.4, the Tesla Model 3 and the Skoda Enyaq, all showing impressive growth in year-on-year volume.
The Danish passenger car market is characterized by small and compact vehicles, unlike the rest of the Scandinavian countries where larger and more expensive models dominate. This is due to the peculiarity of local taxation.
Looking at the Top 50 rankings up to November 2024, the best seller in Denmark was still the Tesla Model Y with 8,582 sales (-42.8%), followed by the Volkswagen ID.4 -up 8 spots- with 5,298 new registrations (+127.2%) and the Tesla Model 3 -up 1 spot- in 3rd with 5,044 sales (+62.3%).
In 4th ranked the Skoda Enyaq -up 2 spots- with 5,027 new sales (+77.4%), in front of the Audi Q4 -up 10 spots- with 4,733 units sold (+113.3%), the Peugeot 208 -down 4 spots- at 2,955 (-48.5%), the Volkswagen ID.3 -up 39 spots- with 2,669 sales (-179.5%) and the Volvo EX30 -up 201 spots- with 2,661 new registrations.
The Volkswagen T-ROC -up 8 spots- ranked in 9th with 2,638 units sold (+22.6%) and the Citroen C3 -up 5 spots- closed the Top 10 with 2,597 new registrations (-8.8%).
