Africa Best Selling Cars 2016. The top 100

Africa best selling Cars 2016 ranking led again by the pick up Toyota Hilux with a narrow margin over the Volkswagen Polo. In third place the Ford Ranger with a wide advantage over all others. New entrance in top 10 are Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Tucson.

Focus2move is specialized on tracking vehicles sales data in Africa, actually covering 39 markets with detail by segment, brands and model since 2010 figures and providing market research by country with forecast up to the 2025.

Purpose of this report is provide a snapshot over the best-selling cars in the entire continent in the full year 2016.

Toyota dominates the sales in the Black continent and this is mirrored by this ranking, with the top model unchanged from the previous year, the pick up Toyota Hilux, with 63.974 sales.

However, the leadership is not undisputed, considering that the second model if almost close. It is the Volkswagen Polo, best car passenger’s, with 61.439 units.

In third place the other pick up, Ford Ranger, with 41.234 sales, followed by the Renault Symbol with 28.357,  the Toyota Corolla with 25.921, the Dacia Logan with 24.824 and the Ford Fiesta with 22.212.

In eight place the Renault Clio with 20.579 ahead of the Chevrolet TFR  with 17.345 and in 10th place the Hyundai Tucson with 16.753.
