Austria best selling cars ranking in 2018 is led by the Volkswagen Golf, despite losing 27% from the previous year, ahead of the renovated Volkswagen Polo – up 14.7% – and the Skoda Octavia. The Hyundai Tucson gains the 7th position, up 26%.
In the 2018 the car passenger’s segment is moderately negative. Indeed, the market fell 3.3%, ending the year with 341.832 units. Thus, this years sales have interrupted the positive growth of recent years, being largely affected by WLTP introduction, that in September dragged sales down 41.9%, leading to a negative tone during the following months.
As far as the 2018 best selling cars ranking, this is a land of the Volkswagen Golf since years and already on top with huge gap on all others, with sales at 12.352 (-27%).
In second place the Volkswagen Polo with 9.470 sales (+14.7%) and in third the Skoda Octavia with 8.702 units (-9.3%).
In fourth place the Volkswagen Tiguan with 7.857 units (-15%) followed by the Volkswagen T-Roc with 6.681 and the new Skoda Fabia with 6.644 sales (-8.3%).
In seventh place the Hyundai Tucson with 5.704 units (+26%) ahead of the Renault Clio with 4.853 units (+9.4%), the Fiat 500 with 4.369 (-3.6%) and in 10th place the Seat Arona with 4.217 units.
