Europe best selling cars 2015 ranking. The top 100 models in the full year 2015 Â confirms Volkswagen Golf on top of the list followed by the Volkswagen Polo, Renault Clio and Ford Fiesta. BMW Series 2 the best new entrance.
Market Outlook
According to data released by all Car Manufacturers national associations and by the ACEA, total light vehicles sales (cars plus LCVs) in the European continent (including Russia, Turkey and all eastern countries) in the 2015  had been 18.5 million (+3.8%) near 1 million vehicles more than in the 2014.
The regional sales had been heavy penalized by Russian market fall, with October lost at 28% but the demand was tepid in all the top markets, with UK breaking the record sales after 43 month, Turkey down for the second month, Germany and France raising marginally and just Italy up a good 8%.
Best selling cars
During the 2015 the Volkswagen Golf has fully benefit from the full production availability of the seventh generation to further increase the gap over the competitors. Sales had been 648.416Â (+6.7%) more than the double than the second.
Indeed, three models are fighting for the second place with actually the Volkswagen Polo ahead with 377.652 units (+3.7%) with a little margin over the Renault Clio (367.301, +3.4%) and the Ford Fiesta (332.077, +3.2%).
Opel Corsa ranks in 5th place with 282.410 units (+6.0%) followed by the Nissan Qashqai with 261.245 (+5.2%), the Volkswagen Passat (260.369, +40.4%), the Skoda Octavia (254.367, +0.4%), the Ford Focus (249.935, -1.3%) and in 10th place the Peugeot 208 (249.386, +5.9%).
The Volkswagen Passat is the fastest growing model among these top 10 thanks to the success of the last generation launched in the fall of 2014.
Looking behind, new stars list is led by the Mercedes C Class (16th with 183.902, +24.0%) and includes the Mini (30th with 136.603, +35.5%) and the Ford Mondeo (68th with 81.539, +64.5%).
Among the new entrance, the best models have been the BMW 2 Series (59th with 86.2443), the Peugeot 108 (77th with 69.469), the Citroen C4 Cactus (70th with 70.560), the Fiat 500X (75th with 68.080) and the Jeep Renegade (94th with 58.343).
