Germany best selling cars ranking 2015 was dominated by the Volkswagen Golf, leader for the 40th consecutive year with market share record at 9.0% and over 5 points of share gap on the group of followers.
Volkswagen Golf has been the best selling car in Germany, for the 40th consecutive year.
A similar domination is reported just in the USA were the pick up Ford F-Series had been on top of the list for the last 39th years, but in case of Germany the current gap between the Golf and the immediate followers is really impressive. Last year Golf’s sales had been 270.952, +6.2%, with 9.0% of market share.
The second was really far and it was the last generation of the Volkswagen Passat with 97.586 sales (+35.2%), followed by the Volkswagen Polo with 69.867 units (+2.6%), the Mercedes C Class with 67.549 (+11.9%), the Volkswagen Tiguan with 58.978 (-4.8%), the Skoda Octavia with 57.957 (+10.0%), the Audi A3 with 57.858 (-11.3%), the Opel Astra with 56.079 (+21.4%), the Opel Corsa with 452.741 (-4.4%) and in 10th place the Audi A4 with 52.493 (+8.7%).
Ford has no models in the top 10, with Focus and Fiesta ranking respectively 11th and 13th.
The new BMW 2 Series landed in 17th place with 42.916 sales.
