The 2021 Toyota Hilux

Asean best selling cars ranking final data in 2021 is again dominated by the Toyota Hilux, followed by the Hyundai Staria. The Toyota Rush reaches 7th position, while the Perodua Axia falls out of the leaderboard.

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is an economic free trade area in South Asia, including the following nations: Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia.

With regard to the regional best-selling cars ranking, in 2021 the leadership is still in the hands of the Toyota Hilux, produced in Thailand, well ahead of its competitors with 182k units sold (6.5% share), followed in second place by the Hyundai Staria, with 150k units sold (5.3% share).

The Honda City -up 3 spots- closes the podium with 94k units (3.3% share), followed by the Mitsubishi Xpander -up 3 spots- with 89k units (2.9% share) and the Toyota Vios – down 2 spots – with 83k units sold (2.9% share).

In sixth place we have the Perodua Myvi -down 2 spots- with 82k units (2.9% share), followed by the Toyota Rush -up 6 spots- with 71k units (2.5% share) and then by the Toyota Avanza –up 6 spotswith 71k units (2.5% share).

Closing the leaderboard we have theĀ Toyota Fortuner rising 2 spots with 69k units (2.4% share) and the Ford RangerĀ -down 2 spots- with 68k units (2.4% share).
