Following the huge fall reported in the previous year, when the industry was heavy hit by effects of covid 19 spread, in 2021 the automotive sector fast recovered in Panama.

Brand-wise, there is a new market leader, thanks to the astonishing growth reported by Suzuki, which is now on top with a clear advantage over the former leader, Toyota, and to the third player, Hyundai.
Behind, Mitsubishi is ahead of Kia, Chevrolet and Ford, while several Chinese OEMs landed in the country and are creating the base for a rapid expansion.
