New Zealand Best Selling Car in 2023 sees the Toyota RAV4 in pole position with 7.8% market share (+49.2%), followed by the Tesla Model 3 (+63.1%). The BYD Atto 3 booms 105.6% in year-on-year sales making it into 7th spot.
Looking at YTD sales in 2023, the Toyota RAV4 becomes the best-selling car, holding 7.8% market share with 8,759 new sales (+49.2%).
In second position we find the Tesla Model 3 -up 8 spots-with 4.1% share and 4,535 new registrations (+63.1%), ahead of the Mitsubishi Outlander -down 2 spots- with 4,060 sales (-55.4%).
The Tesla Model Y falls 1 spot into 4th with 3,936 sales (-6.9%), followed by the Suzuki Swift -down 1 spot- with 3,923 new registrations (-0.3%).
Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross loses 1 spot and ranks in 6th with 3,641 sales (-0.5%), followed by the BYD Atto 3 -up 18 spots- with 3,470 registrations (+105.6%) and the MG ZS -down 2 spots- at 3,123 units sold (-7.6%).
At the bottom of the leaderboard, the Mitsubishi ASX -down 2 spots- ranks in 9th with 3,010 sales (-10.8%) and the Kia EV6 closes the Top 10 jumping 17 spots with 2,395 new registrations (+52.6%).
