Suzuki Global Performance in the 2017 was very positive with sales up 11.6% and improving in regions were the brand is relatively weak, like Levant and Europe. However core Asian region was is up in double-digit. The Alto is the best seller.
Following the stable performance scored in the period 2010-2016, during the first nine months of the 2017 Suzuki-Maruti has boosted sales, up 11.6%, with 3.16 million units.
At regional level, sales are improving in the regions where the brand is weaker improving their geographical mix. So, sales in the Africa (excluding the Magreb area) were up 43.2%, in Levant up 26.6%, in C.I.S. 20.9% and in the European Community 20.3%
At model wise, the best model was the Maruti Alto with 265.000 sales (+5.0%) followed by the Maruti Dzire with 225.000 (+11.4%) and the Maruti Baleno with 175.000 (+63.6%).

In the period 2010-2016 Suzuki (including Maruti) has scored a positive while not remarkable performance at global sales, growing from 2.62 million sales in the 2010 to 2.83 million in the 2016, performing a Compound annual growth rate (C.A.G.R) of 1.3%, while the industry CAGR in the period was +4.6%.
In this period, Suzuki has lost 6 steps within the Global Car Brands Ranking landing in the 18th place while Maruti stands in 19th..
Sales split at regional level confirmed in the 2016 the supremacy of the Asia region counting the 87.8% of total sales (it was 86.1% in the 2010).
Sales in Europe count 7.6% (from 7.5%), while after the decision to quite from USA and Canada, American sales represent the 3.0% (from 3.9%).
