Audi May. Global sales up 3% driven by China

Audi Global performance is back in positive territory after the flat 2017, mainly thanks to the +15% scored in China. The brands ranks as third among premium and is well performing in Canada, Japan while losing in Germany and France.

Audi ranks as the thirteen larger car brand in the World and is the third among the “premium”.

Following an impressive series of 6 consecutive years of growth started in the 2010, in the 2017 the brand global growth stopped suddenly with sales flat over the previous year. In the 2018 the positive path has been taken again with year to date May figures at 785.884, up 3.5%.

Looking at the sales country-wise, th robust +15% scored in the largest market, China, is clearly driving up the global success. Others growing markets are Canada (+13.7%), Japan (+19.7%), Denmark (+14.3%), South Korea, where the distribution just started again.

In negative territory so far there are Germany (-4.4%), France (-15.1%), Belgium (-9.3%), Sweden (-7.8%), South Africa (-10.7%), India (-19.6%), Portugal (-37.7%).
