Australia Best Selling Cars ranking in 2023 with a new leader. Ford Ranger (+33.4%) is now on top of the list, followed by the Toyota Hilux (-5.1%). Tesla Model Y jumps 30 spots into 6th (+230.0%).

In 2023 the Australian Best-Selling Car is becomes the Ford Ranger with 63,356 sales (+33.4%), followed by the Toyota Hilux, with 61,111 new registrations (-5.1%).

In third place ranks the Isuzu D-Max -up 4 spots- with 31,202 sales (+28.2%), followed by the Toyota RAV4 -down 1 spot- at 29,627 units sold (-15.0%) and the MG ZS -up 3 spots- with 29,258 new registrations (+30.2%). 

The Tesla Model Y rises 30 spots into 6th, reporting 28,769 sales, a 230.0% year-on-year growth.

Behind ranks the Mitsubishi Outlander in 7th with 24,263 sales (+24.1%) followed by the Mazda CX-5 with 23,083 (-14.7%), the Hyundai Tucson with 21,224 units sold (+18.8%) and the Toyota Prado in 10th with 20,710 sales (-1.9%).
