Austria best selling cars 2017 ranking dominated as usual by the Volkswagen Golf followed by the Skoda Octavia and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The Hyundai i20 advanced in sixth place and the Fiat 500 advanced in 9th, up 5 spots.
Austrian vehicles market is resilient to crisis and mature and in recent years has shown one of the most stable trend in Europe. In the 2017, according to data released by the local Association of Car Manufacturers, car passenger’s sales have been 353.596 (+7.3%) the best this decade with 2018 outlook still almost positive and sales projected up a further 4%
As far as the best selling cars ranking, this is a land of the Volkswagen Golf since years and no changes on this during the 2017, when sales were 16.937 (+7.3%).
In second place the Skoda Octavia with 9.594 units (+10.4%) and in third the Volkswagen Tiguan with 9.242 units (+8.7%).
In fourth place the Volkswagen Polo with 8.258 sales (+7.9%) followed by the Skoda Fabia with 7.242 (+17.0%) and the Hyundai i20, the new entrance within the Top 10, with 5.400 sales (+22.1%).
In seventh place the Seat Ibiza with 5.389 (-1.4%)ahead of the Opel Astra with 4.958 units (-14.3%), the Fiat 500, up 5 spots with 4.533 (+4.3%) and in 10th place the Hyundai Tucson with 4.527 units (-13.7%).
