Belgium Auto Sales in 2022 totaled 366,087 sales, a 4.4% decrease compared to the previous year and lowest levels of the decade. December sales were up 20.6% at 24,569.

The Belgian Auto Market in 2022 totaled 366,087 sales, a 4.4% decrease compared to the previous year and the lowest level of the last decade. In the last 5 months of the year the market gained a strong momentum, with December sales up 20.6% at 24,569 new registrations.

Looking at cumulative data from 2022 brand-wise, the top 2 brands remain unchanged compared to 2021:  BMW in 1st with 38,011 sales (-2.4%), followed by Volkswagen with 32,061 (-6.7%).

In third place ranks Mercedes with 29,283 sales (+6.4%) ahead of Peugeot with 29,140 registrations (+2.3%), Audi at 26,253 (-6.3%), Toyota with 21,262 (+34.6%) pushed up by hybrid engines demand and Renault with 18,687 registrations (-7.5%).

Citroen falls into 8th place with 16,741 (-8.7%) followed by Dacia with 15,652 (+10.0%) and in 10th place by Kia with 15,162 (+13.6%).
