Belgium Auto Sales recover dramatically in 2023. Following the almost negative period started in 2020, the car market finally jumped up with a roaring +30.1%, reaching 476,462 sales.
Market Trend and Outlook
The Belgian auto market in 2023 booms 30.1% respectively to the previous year, YTD figures at 476,462. December grows for the 17th consecutive month and reporting 25,696 new registrations (+4.5).
Looking at cumulative data up to December 2023 brand-wise, BMW maintains 1st position with 50,579 sales (+33.1%), followed by Volkswagen with 45,272 units sold (+41.2%).
In third place ranks Audi -up 2 spots- with 35,396 sales (+34.8%) ahead of Mercedes -down 1 spot- with 35,263 registrations (+20.4%), Peugeot -down 1 spot- at 29,348 (+0.7%), Renault -up 1 spot- with 24,694 (+32.1%) and Toyota -down 1 spot- with 23,534 registrations (+10.7%).
Volvo rises 4 spots into 8th with 21,329 (+63.2%) followed by Dacia with 21,007 (+34.2%) and in 10th place by Kia with 18,586 (+22.6%).
