Belgium automotive sector kept struggling in April 2014 when domestic new car vehicles market was flat on the previous year and production was down. Volkswagen was leader with just few units of gap to Renault. See statistics and sales data.

In April 2014 accordingly with data released by FEBIAC total new Passengers Cars sold have been 53.319, up only 0.5% from year ago. Year to date April sales have been 201.851, down 0.2% from year ago.  

Volkswagen defended the leadership in the head to head battle with Renault selling 5.698 cars with 10.7% of market share, gaining 0.6 points from March. Year to date sales were 19.569 with share at 9.7% down 0.6 points from last year.

Renault was near selling 5.655 vehicles with the share soared at 10.6%, up 1.6 points from the previous month with cumulate sales at 17.985 and share at 8.9%, down 0.5 points from last year.  

Peugeot was third selling 4.092 units with 8.2% of share, up 0.5 from March. Year to date sales were 16.466 with share at 8.2%, up 0.2 points from year ago.

Audi advanced in fourth, up 3 spots, with 3.609 sales and 6.8% of share up 0.6 points from the previous month. Year to date sales were 12.227, with 6.1% of share, up 0.1 points from last year.

Citroen in fifth sold 3.608 with 6.8% of share, up 0.2 points from the previous month. Year to date Citroen was fourth with 14.312 retails and 7.1% of share, up 0.1 from 2013.

BMW was 5th with 3.495 sales and 6.6% of share, down 0.1 points from the previous month while in the cumulate figures in was fifth, one spot ahead of last year with 13.271 sales and 6.6% of share.
