Best selling car models in America continent in the 2014. While the ranking was led by Ford F-Series, ahead of Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Corolla, the model of the Year was the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
In 2014 according to data released by all Car Manufacturers local Associations, total Light Passengers Vehicle (cars + light commercial vehicles) sold in the Americas (29 countries) have been 24.881.000 million, up 2.1% from the correspondent month last year.
The best-selling model in the entire continent was the Ford F-Series, the large pick up leader in two of four largest countries (US and Canada) leading the rank with 892.000 sales, flat from 2013.
Second was the Chevrolet Silverado with 586.763 units (+10.2%) followed by the Toyota Corolla, first car passenger vehicle, with 493.193 units (+10.6%) and by the Honda Civic with 456.270 units, -4.1%.
Ram pick up in sixth place was one of fastest growing model with 439.700 units (+23.6%). Others strong performed were Nissan Sentra (19th with 249.063, +33.6%), Jeep Grand Cherokee (29th with 207.566, +521.9%), Toyota 4Runner (93rd with 81.249, +47.0%) and Chevrolet Prisma (76th with 95.095 units, +38.5%).
