Among best selling model, Honda Civic remains the leader with 3.9 pct. market share, in spite volume reduction over last year and strong increase reported by the main challenger, the Hyundai Elantra, second at 3.0 market share. Toyota Corolla is 3rd at 2.5%, but volume does not still benefit from new version launched few months ago.

In the quarter three great performances had registered: the Subaru Impreza, ranked 14th thanks to 46% increase, Kia Optima is 19th and Fiat Cinquecento is 20th. It is the first time in the history an Italian car is in the Top 20 in Canadian car market. That’s not only an achievement for Chrysler/Fiat Group, but a clear sign about changes in the market demand, considering the really small dimension of the stylish Italian car.
