Cambodian vehicles market is full of contradictions and the increase of duties over new vehicles registrations generated a relevant flow of grey market for near zero kilometers cars while the official market growth was blocked. Full Year 2017 official sales declined 0.8%

Brunei cars sales in the 2017 has lost for the fourth year in a string losing 6.5%. The negative economic trend and the lower consumer spending both in private and public sectors keep to hit the automotive sector. 

Asean best selling cars ranking in the 2017 led by the Toyota Hilux albeit losing terrain. The second, the Isuzu D-Max, reduced by half the gap and can attack the leadership in the 2018. The best car passenger was the Toyota Avanza. Top 50 models inside!

ASEAN Automotive Market in the 2017 reported a +4.7% growth keeping the positive medium term trend thanks to record economic performance. The Philippines are driving up the entire region followed by the recovery of Thailand.

Singapore Autos market in the 2017 was stable at the high level hit in the previous year, with near 110.000 vehicles sold, almost three-time more than in the 2013. Toyota overtook Honda on top of car passenger's ranking, but just for peanuts.

Thailand best selling cars 2017 was dominated by the last generation of the locally made Isuzu D-Max, able to create a wide gap over the former leader, the Toyota Hilux. Third place taken by the other pick-up, the Ford Ranger.

Laos Vehicles Market in the 2017 lost in double-digit. Following the too fast development of the last five years, the consumer demand declined and the domestic brand, Daeham, started struggling. Toyota is again market leader with share over 20%.

Vietnam Vehicles Market in 2017 declined 12.6% after a series of 6 all time record in a row, maintaining untouched the high potential. Toyota gained 4% reinforcing the leadership in the market  ahead of Kia and Ford. Toyota Vios was the best-selling car.

Philippines Vehicles Market in the 2017 hit the fifth all time record in a row, just before the Tax Reform, which has introduced higher duties on vehicles and fuel. The market grew near 500.000 units with Toyota leader ahead of Mitsubishi and Hyundai.

Thailand vehicles market in 2017 started to recovered having bottomed down the long crisis. Sales improved 13.4% despite the leader, Toyota has lost. Several brands reported substantial performance, including the Europeans Volvo and Volkswagen.
