Malaysia auto sales in 2017 moderately declined, for the second consecutive year, with domestic brands still losing terrain and Japanese gaining. Perodua still market leader while the stars of the year had been Honda and BMW.

Indonesia Auto Sales in the 2017 increased 6% thanks to economic recovery and despite the introduction of legislations against high polluting vehicles. Toyota and Daihatsu dominates with over 55% of share. Suzuki was the fastest growing brand.

Brunei Auto Sales 2016 dragged down by the challenging economic conditions in the crucial energy market. The recession cut the customer's demand for vehicles and the sector declined for the third year in a row.

Laos Auto Market 2016 hit again a new all time record despite the slowdown reported in the second half of the year. Launching the first pickup of its history, local maker Daeham led the market, ahead of Toyota.
