China Autos kept momentum in First Half 2016 with June up in double-digit.

China Autos

China Autos kept momentum in First Half 2016 with June up in double-digit. Volkswagen was the solid leader while Buick improved significantly. Baojun 560 was the best new model of the year.

Market Outlook

Chinese economy was able to keep up its momentum in Q2 due to continued policy support. While domestic retail sales suggested that private consumption was broadly stable, investment among state-sponsored companies soared in the same period, which partially compensated for poor dynamics in investment from private firms.

Moreover, a large trade surplus in Q2 mainly due to a weakening yuan has likely improved the contribution from the external sector to overall growth. Although China’s exposure to the United Kingdom is limited, the impact of the Brexit decision is likely to be felt through a slowdown in external demand from Europe and heightened volatility in the financial sector.

In this period of time the domestic vehicles market improved again ending th Q2 with a double-digit raise in June.

According to the data released by the  C.A.A.M., (China Association of Automobile Manufacturers), the total vehicles sales ( including both local produced and imported vehicles) in June had been 2.065.603 (+12.8%).

First Half  total light vehicles sales had been 12.932.607, up 7.2% compared to the same period last year.
