Denmark Best-Selling Cars Ranking in 2024 sees the Tesla Model Y as the market leader (-41.7%), followed by the Volkswagen ID.4, the Tesla Model 3 and the Skoda Enyaq, all posting impressive gains.
The Danish passenger car market is characterized by small and compact vehicles, unlike the rest of the Scandinavian countries where larger and more expensive models dominate. This is due to the peculiarity of local taxation.
Looking at the Top 50 rankings up to December 2024, the best seller in Denmark was still the Tesla Model Y with 10,473 sales (-41.7%), followed by the Volkswagen ID.4 -up 10 spots- with 5,661 new registrations (+122.8%) and the Skoda Enyaq -up 2 spots- in 3rd with 5,657 sales (+84.1%).
In 4th ranked the Tesla Model 3 with 5,528 new sales (+31.3%), in front of the Audi Q4 -up 10 spots- with 5,307 units sold (+125.8%), the Peugeot 208 -down 4 spots- at 3,037 (-49.7%), the Volkswagen T-ROC -up 10 spots- with 2,987 sales (+29.2%) and the Volkswagen ID.3 -up 34 spots- with 2,939 new registrations (+155.3%).
The BMW 3 Series -up 36 spots- ranked in 9th with 2,855 units sold (+159.3%) and the Nissan Qashqai -down 1 spot- closed the Top 10 with 2,762 new registrations (-5.7%).
