European continent car market in June 2013: Top 50 Brands ranking!

Thanks to its database, focus2move.com is now able to release sales data of the True Europe, including sales by brands and models for all countries inside Europe, from Spain to Ukraine. The countries included are not only those inside the European Community and released by ACEA association, but we include also the rest of East European countries (Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine) or the new EU member, Croatia.

This is the first report over the entire European region and regards brands, featuring the Top 50 Brands in the first half 2013. Just a short comment on data:

Volkswagen is the leader with over 1 million vehicles sold in the first half 2013 with a market share really stable at 11.3%. While considering only the European Community Ford stands in second place, in the True Europe Ford and Renault are fighting for this place, with the French ahead in June and Ford in the half. However, just few units separate them and the race is fully open.

Opel was 4th with 98.803 sales in June, with Peugeot in 5th, with 85.981 units. Citroen was 6th, followed by Fiat, which benefit from its performance in Turkey and Italy, just few units ahead of Citroen and Mercedes.

The first Japanese was Toyota, out of top ten ranking in June and 10th in the first half, up 1 spot from full year 2012. It is followed by the first Korean, Hyundai, 12th with a share of 3.8%.

The Russia Lada (or Autovaz) controlled by Renault/Nissan that just announced Carlos Ghost as new CEO, was 16th thanks to the leadership in Russia and surrounding countries.

The first Chinese was Geely, in 36th with 3.800 sales, thanks to its leadership in Ukraine and good performance in Russia.
