France: Car Sales Statistics with bestselling 25 brands, 50 Models and LCV ranking.

Accordingly with data released by C.C.F.A., the local car manufacturers association, in November the French car market has broken the shy recovery started just two month before, losing 4.4% with total 138.298 sales. As consequence, year-to date car market figures were 1.614.606, down 7.1%.

Light Commercial Vehicles market was back in negative as well, with sales at 29.766, down 4.4%. Year to date, LCV segment sales were 331.181, down 5.6%. French commercial segment is the biggest in Europe.

Looking at the top brands performance:

Renault sold 25.277 vehicles with a weak share of 18.3%, down 0.2 points from October. Year to date sales were 305.689 with a share of 18.9%, up 0.8 points from FY 2012. Clio was again the bestselling model while Captur was stable in 5th.

Peugeot sold 23.419 units with share at 16.9%, down 0.6 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 264.656 with a share of 16.4%, up 0.3 from F.Y. 2012. Top model was again the 208, in second place, while the 2008 was fourth.

Citroen in 3rd sold 19.426 vehicles with a share of 14.0%, up 0.1 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 216.323 with a share of 13.4%, down 0.6 points from last year. Top model was the C3 flat in third.

Volkswagen was 4th with 11.315 sales and share at 8.2%, up 0.9 points from October. Year-to-date sales were 126.426 with a share of 7.8%, down 0.3 points from F.Y. 2012. The top model Polo ranked 10th.

Dacia was back in fifth with 7.315 units and 5.3% of share, up 0.9 points from October. Year-to-date Dacia was 5th with 79.870 sales and 4.9% of share, up 0.9 points from FY 2012. The top model Sandero jumped in 6th place.

Ford ranked sixth selling 5.721 vehicles and 4.1% of share, down 0.4 points of share. Year to date Ford was sixth with 69.801 sales and 4.3% of share, down 0.6 points from last year. The top model Fiesta ranked 15th.

Toyota was 7th with 5.596 sales and a share of 4.1%, down 0.5 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 63.817 with a share of 4.0%, up 0.4 points from last year. The top model was again the Yaris ranked 17th.

Audi ranked 8th with 4.652 registrations and 3.4% of share, up 0.1 points. Year to date Audi was 10th with 52.986 sales and 3.3% of share, flat on last year.

Renault Clio was the market leader with 8.875 sales and a share of 6.4%, up 0.1 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 110.949 with a share of 6.8%.

Peugeot 208 was stable in 2nd with 6.375 units and a share of 4.6%, down 0.2 points from the previous month. Year to date sales were 83.787 with a share of 5.2%.

Citroen C3 was third with 6.080 sales and 4.4% of share, up 0.6 points from the previous month. Year to date sales were 46.627 with a share of 2.9%.

Peugeot 2008 was 4th with 4.459 units and a share of 3.2 followed by Renault Captur in 5th with 4.282 sales and a share of 3.1%. Dacia Sandero was the Model of the Month jumping in 6th from 11th with 4.193 units, ahead of Renault Scenic with 4.175 and Peugeot 308 with 3.782.

New Citroen C4 Picasso landed in 9th place while Volkswagen Polo, first imported model, was 10th.
