Germany Vehicles Market in November 2016 volkswagen_phideon_2017

Germany Vehicles Market in November recovered slightly the slowdown of the previous month. Polo and Tiguan sustained Volkswagen reducing the sales losses, while Golf and Passat lost in double digit.

Market Outlook

The German economy slowed down in the third quarter more abruptly than analysts had expected. Lead indicators had previously suggested a relatively stable pace of growth in Q3, but GDP growth averaged 0.2% from the previous quarter, below the 0.4% registered in Q2. According to the statistics institute, the deceleration was due to a negative net trade contribution, a likely result of heightened global uncertainty.

Meantime, after the moderate slowdown recorded in October, the domestic cars sales in November increased feebly.

According to data released by the V.D.A. (Verband der Automobilindustrie) and the V.D.I.K. (Association of International Motor Vehicles Manufacturers), the car passenger’s sales in November have been 275.808 units, up 1.4%.

Year to date November the total cars sales had been 3.088.182, up 4.6%.
